Dear Supporters and friends: It was a long time since I sent a report from East Jerusalem. First, my situation is the same, nothing has changed. The only thing we have now is all the court cases that are running as I reported before most of them have been postponed. Here is the current news. In the Supreme court of Appeal against the restrictions, this is the third time we are appealing the court, the court hearing on September 6th,2006 and continue on to November 2nd in which they heard in secret one hour of evidence by Israeli security agents who testified that I am continuing to speak to foreign media. On Nov. 21st the Supreme Court Chief of Justice woman Beinish rejected my appeal. New evidence on Nov. 20th was put forward by the police detective who called me to come to Tel Aviv for questioning on new charges. I refused to go and with consultation with my lawyer, I told the detective that I would not come to Tel Aviv and that he could come to Jerusalem. On Nov 22nd this police detective called me and said,if I did not come to Tel Aviv he would have me arrested. I told him that I cannot come to Tel Aviv. Now. I am under the threat of being arrested at anytime. All this means that the Israeli's Shaback and Mossad behind this police defective want to open a new case against me maybe, because the case that is running now is not succeeding for them. On Friday, November 24th, we were in the court on the trial against me with my lawyers and Jerry Levin and the Priest from St. George. In the court, my lawyer questioned IDF Central District Commander Major-General Yair Naveh. He responded to the questions and gave his testimony in the Jerusalem Peace Court. My lawyer succeeded to reveal in his testimony a few very important facts. 1. This General of the army also was not allowed to see all the secrets that he is required to protect by these restrictions that they claim I know them. So, he gave orders of restrictions without knowing what he is protecting or that he is also following orders blindly, and Mossad sheen Bet using its authority for just punishing me, 2. He testified that it is not a crime for me to talk with foreigners in general anywhere. 3. He testified that I can speak freely to any Israeli citizens about anything,
it is not his concern what I am saying to them. These Israelis can give this
information to any foreigners. It was difficult for the Judge to understand
why this dichotomy exists between foreigners and Israelis. It means that it
is not
about secrecy but about something else. The fine is about $10.000. (Ten thousand US $) These are the most important events in my life here. I will keep in touch with any new developments. -- VMJC Waiting In East Jerusalem. Stone walls do not a prison make, |
