Arthur Quinn of the Wellington area and Marion Hancock of Auckland report progress in their efforts to secure a New Zealand parliamentary resolution calling on Israel to free Mordechai Vanunu. A similar resolution passed the Australian Senate in 1998.
Quinn, a veteran trade unionist, writes that he also plans to raise the Vanunu issue with the New Zealand and Israeli labor parties. A recent issue of the newsletter of the Waiwhetu-Lower Hutt Peace Group, edited by Quinn, featured the international campaign to free Vanunu.
